How to cook a kangaroo tail:

First, get a kangaroo tail. The tail should be ‘fresh’ from a kangaroo; it should not be kept for a long time before cooking. Kangaroo tails that are kept for more than 2 days are no longer considered fresh and they may taste awfully chewy after cooking. Do also note that the colour may not be as appealing.

Second, make sure that the kangaroo tail is shaved neatly; ensure that the kangaroo tail is no longer as hairy as before. The tail should be shaved using a shaver but using a man’s shaver is not advised due to the sharpness of the blade. The proper shaver can be bought from the AFC-FARM. (Animal Friendly Corporation) The tail should reveal a shiny and smooth pink layer if it was shaved using the proper method and equipment. The correct equipment should be used to get the best tasting and best looking kangaroo tail dish.

Third, marinate the delicate kangaroo tail in teriyaki sauce and let it absorb the tastiness of the sauce. Adding some spices such as pepper and salt may help in spicing up the taste buds of the eater. However, avoid adding too much of it because it might destroy and ruin the taste of the meat. 2 hours of marination should be more than enough, depending on the size of the tail. Regardless of the size of the tail, marination should never exceed 3 hours because by then, the tail would have started to become soggy.

After which, coat the tail with corn flour and slip it into the wok of oil. If you are the health conscious type, use less oil, but take note, it will affect the taste because kangaroo tails lack the oil in them and oil adds the taste in many things. Avoid using other types of flour as they might cause serious reaction, such as the change of colour. After frying the tail, it should look golden instead of brown or greenish black. If the tail shows sign of greenish black, avoid consuming the tail because it might have came from a sick kangaroo and eating it would only cause severe diarrohoea.

Lastly, sprinkle a pinch of sugar icing on top of the tail so that it would look more appealing. Sugar icing also enhances the taste of the tail. After the sugar icing, the kangaroo tail is ready to be savored.
